Job Description

The Quality Assurance Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our healthcare services meet the highest standards of quality and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular clinical and non-clinical process audits to ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for enhancing patient care.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics and quality indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with the government regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
  • Prepare for and participate in accreditation and certification processes.
  • Lead and support quality improvement projects and initiatives across the hospital.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to develop and implement action plans for improvement.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Identify potential risks to patient safety and quality of care.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, and conduct root cause analyses.
  • Provide education and training to staff on quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality assurance activities, findings, and improvement plans.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of quality assurance activities and outcomes.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to promote interdisciplinary collaboration on quality initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of quality and safety throughout the hospital.

Skill & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Clinical Medicine, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, quality improvement, or a related field within a healthcare setting.
  • Certification in healthcare quality is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
